Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member on a Bulk carrier responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve these goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, maintaining deck equipment and stores, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. They will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during cargo operations and performing regular safety drills. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular inspections of the vessel to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate for a Chief Officer on a Bulk carrier.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
