Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member on a Bulk carrier responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The Chief Officer will also be involved in navigation and collision prevention.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, performing safety drills and training crew members, and maintaining deck equipment and cargo handling gear. They will also be responsible for navigating the vessel and preventing collisions by using radar and other navigation equipment. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a bulk carrier
