Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior officer on a Bulk carrier responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master and other crew members to achieve company goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, monitoring deck maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and participating in drills and training exercises. Additionally, the Chief Officer will maintain accurate records and reports, including cargo documents and deck maintenance logs.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a Bulk carrier.
- Must have a strong understanding of cargo operations and deck maintenance.
- Must be proficient in navigation and communication systems.
- Must hold a valid medical certificate and be physically fit for duty.
