The Chief Officer will be the second‑in‑command on a modern bulk carrier, overseeing cargo operations and deck department performance. You will ensure safe loading, stowage and discharge of dry bulk cargoes while maintaining compliance with international regulations.
Daily duties include supervising the deck crew, conducting pre‑departure checks, and managing stability calculations for each voyage. You will prepare and verify cargo documents, monitor watchkeeping schedules, and handle emergency drills. Coordination with the master and shoreside office for route planning and reporting is also required.

Requirements
- OK- Chief Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) with valid STCW endorsement
- OK- Minimum 3 years experience as Chief Officer on bulk carriers
- OK- Proficiency in cargo handling plans and stability software
- OK- Good knowledge of MARPOL, ISM and SOLAS regulations
- OK- Ability to lead a multicultural deck crew and communicate in English
