The Chief Officer is a senior officer on a Bulk carrier responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master and other crew members to achieve this goal.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharge, maintaining deck equipment and stores, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. They will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during cargo operations and performing other duties as assigned by the Master. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

Requirements
- OKHold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
- OKHave at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a bulk carrier
- OKPossess a valid medical certificate
- OKHave completed all required STCW training courses
- OKHave a strong understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
