Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations on a Chemical tanker. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for maintaining the vessel's certificates and records.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties at sea will include supervising cargo loading and discharging, monitoring vessel stability and stress, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel, using electronic charts and other navigation equipment. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular safety drills and training exercises with the crew.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer on a Chemical tanker
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example
- Valid medical certificate and proof of completion of all required training courses
