Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior deck officer responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, deck maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations on a Chemical tanker. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for managing a team of deck crew.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, performing safety drills and training, and maintaining the vessel's deck and superstructure. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel, using electronic navigation aids and traditional navigation techniques. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular safety inspections and report any defects or issues to the Master.

What we look for
- Holder of a valid Chief Mate certificate of competency.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a chemical tanker or similar vessel type.
- Good knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
