Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member on a Container Ship responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve this goal.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and unloading, performing safety drills and training, and maintaining the vessel's deck and superstructure. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and overseeing the maintenance of all deck equipment. Additionally, the Chief Officer will ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Mate certificate of competency
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a container ship
- Must have a strong understanding of cargo operations and deck maintenance
- Must be proficient in English and have excellent communication skills
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced maritime environment
