The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
This role involves managing cargo operations and maintaining the ship's deck and superstructure.
The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, managing cargo planning and loading/unloading operations, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations.
The Chief Officer will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training crew members.
Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in navigation watchkeeping and contribute to the development of voyage plans.
