Role overview

The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations and maintaining the ship's hull and equipment. The Chief Officer also assists the Master in navigating the vessel.

The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, maintaining safety equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
