Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, deck maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations on a Crude oil tanker. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve these goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, performing navigational tasks, and maintaining the vessel's deck and superstructure. They will also be responsible for managing the vessel's stores and provisions, as well as conducting regular safety drills and training exercises. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in voyage planning and navigation.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Mate certificate of competency
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a tanker vessel
- Hold a valid STCW certificate
- Have a strong understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
- Be proficient in English language
