Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, deck maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve these goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, managing cargo planning and loading/unloading operations, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training crew members. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in navigation watches and contribute to the overall safety of the vessel.

What we look for
- Chief Officer certificate of competency
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a crude oil tanker
- Valid STCW certificates, including survival craft and rescue boats
- Good knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
