Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve these goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, maintaining deck equipment, and overseeing cargo loading and discharging operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel, using electronic charts and other navigation aids. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a tanker vessel.
- Possess a valid tanker endorsement.
- Have a strong knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes.
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills.
