Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the dry cargo vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, maintaining deck equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Chief Officer will also assist the Master in navigating the vessel and making key decisions.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharge, performing safety drills, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and vessel operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for conducting regular inspections of the vessel and its equipment to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs. Additionally, the Chief Officer will work closely with other crew members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a dry cargo vessel
- Possess a valid STCW certificate
- Have a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- Be able to work effectively in a team environment
