The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the General Cargo Vessel. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for mentoring junior officers and contributing to the overall management of the vessel.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties will include supervising cargo loading and discharging, conducting safety drills and training, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and vessel operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel, using electronic chart display and information systems, and communicating with other vessels and shore-based authorities. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety procedures.

Requirements
- OKRelevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer
- OKAt least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel
- OKStrong knowledge of cargo operations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
- OKExcellent leadership and communication skills
- OKAbility to work independently and as part of a team
