Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member on a General Cargo Vessel responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master and other crew members to achieve company goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, maintaining deck equipment and stores, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. They will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and participating in drills and training exercises. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a General Cargo Vessel
- Strong knowledge of cargo operations, deck maintenance, and safety procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
