Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the General Cargo Vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, deck maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Chief Officer will also assist the Master in navigating the vessel and making key decisions.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharge, performing safety drills and training, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and making decisions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular inspections of the vessel's deck and cargo gear to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel
- Strong knowledge of cargo operations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
