Chief Officer on Oil/chemical tanker

The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, maintaining deck equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve these goals.

The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, performing safety drills and training, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and vessel operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during cargo operations and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.
