Role overview
The Electrical Engineer is a key member of the deck department on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The Electrical Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, troubleshooting electrical faults, and testing electrical equipment. The Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for updating electrical diagrams and records, and providing technical support to other crew members. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as an Electrical Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on a merchant vessel
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
