Role overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems on a Crewell Oil tanker. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience working with marine electrical systems. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The Electrical Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and testing and inspecting electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for managing spare parts and supplies, and coordinating with shore-based teams to resolve technical issues. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and marine electrical systems.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must hold a valid medical certificate and be physically fit for work at sea.
