The ETO is a key member of the engineering team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic systems.
This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently.
The ETO will also assist with other engineering tasks as needed.
The ETO's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic equipment, troubleshooting issues with navigation and communication systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
The ETO will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Additionally, the ETO will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies.

What we look for
- Hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a merchant vessel.
- Possess a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation and communication equipment.
- Have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
