Role overview
The ETO will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment on a Container Ship. This includes navigation, communication, and cargo handling systems. The ETO will work closely with other crew members to ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The ETO's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues, and testing equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. The ETO will also be responsible for maintaining records of maintenance and repairs, and ordering spare parts as needed. Additionally, the ETO will assist with cargo operations and other tasks as required.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a merchant vessel.
- Must have knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and cargo handling systems.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
