Role overview
The ETO is a key member of the engineering team on our General Cargo Vessel, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic equipment. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently. The ETO will report to the Chief Engineer and work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The ETO's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems, troubleshooting faults and defects, and testing and calibrating equipment. The ETO will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work, and for ordering spare parts and supplies as needed. Additionally, the ETO will assist with other engineering tasks as required.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a merchant vessel
- Must have a strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have good communication and problem-solving skills
