Role overview
The ETO will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic equipment on board the oil/chemical tanker. This includes ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role requires a strong technical background and ability to work independently.
The ETO's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with other crew members to ensure seamless operations. The ETO will also be responsible for updating and maintaining technical documentation and records. Additionally, the ETO will participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a tanker vessel.
- Possess a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and cargo handling equipment.
- Have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with crew members and shore-based personnel.
