Role overview
The ETO is a key member of the crew responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic equipment on board. This includes navigation, communication, and cargo handling systems. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently.
The ETO's day-to-day duties include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems, troubleshooting faults, and testing equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly. The ETO will also be responsible for updating and maintaining technical documentation and records. Additionally, the ETO will provide technical support and training to other crew members as needed.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working as an ETO on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and cargo handling systems.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing faults in electrical and electronic equipment.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
