Role overview
The ETO is a key member of the crew responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic equipment on board. This includes navigation, communication, and cargo handling systems. The ETO will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The ETO's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic equipment, troubleshooting faults, and testing equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly. The ETO will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and for ordering spare parts and supplies as needed. Additionally, the ETO will assist with cargo operations and other deck activities as required.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as an Electro-Technical Officer.
- At least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a tanker vessel.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and cargo handling systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
