Role overview
The Fitter/Welder will be part of the deck department on a General Cargo Vessel, responsible for maintaining and repairing ship equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and welding principles. The ideal candidate will have experience working on similar vessels.
The Fitter/Welder will perform daily tasks such as maintaining and repairing cargo handling equipment, pumps, and other mechanical systems. They will also be responsible for welding and fabricating parts as needed, and assisting with other deck maintenance tasks. Additionally, they will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- 2 years of experience as a Fitter/Welder on a merchant vessel
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid medical certificate
