The Fitter/Welder will be part of the deck department on an Oil tanker, responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various materials. The Fitter/Welder will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

The day-to-day duties of the Fitter/Welder will include performing repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment, fabricating and welding parts as needed, and conducting regular inspections to identify potential issues. The Fitter/Welder will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of work performed and spare parts used. Additionally, the Fitter/Welder will assist with other deck operations as required.
