Role overview
The Gas Engineer is a critical role on our LPG vessel, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ship's gas plant and related systems. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. The Gas Engineer will work closely with the deck team to maintain the vessel's cargo handling equipment.
The Gas Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the gas plant and associated equipment, monitoring and optimizing gas plant performance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The Gas Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of gas plant operations and performing safety inspections to identify potential hazards. Additionally, the Gas Engineer will provide training and guidance to other crew members as needed.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate for Gas Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience working on LPG vessels
- Strong knowledge of gas plant operations and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
