Role overview
The Master is a senior officer responsible for the safe operation of a Container Ship. This role requires strong leadership and navigational skills to ensure the vessel's cargo and crew are protected. The Master will oversee all deck operations and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
The Master's day-to-day duties at sea include navigating the vessel, managing the crew, and maintaining the ship's safety and security systems. The Master will also be responsible for monitoring weather conditions, managing fuel consumption, and ensuring the vessel's cargo is properly secured. Additionally, the Master will conduct regular drills and training exercises to prepare the crew for emergency situations.
