Role overview

The Master is responsible for the overall command of the LNG vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This includes adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The Master will also be responsible for the crew's welfare and performance.

The Master's day-to-day duties include navigating the vessel, managing cargo operations, and maintaining communication with other ships and coastal authorities. The Master will also be responsible for conducting regular drills and training exercises to ensure the crew is prepared for emergency situations. Additionally, the Master will oversee maintenance and repair work to ensure the vessel remains in good working condition.

  • Hold a valid Master's certificate of competency for LNG vessels.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience as a Master on an LNG vessel.
  • Hold a valid STCW certificate.
  • Have a strong knowledge of LNG operations and safety procedures.
  • Be able to pass a medical examination and obtain any necessary visas.
