Role overview

The Master is a senior officer responsible for the overall operation and navigation of the oil tanker. This role requires strong leadership and decision-making skills to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of cargo. The Master will also be responsible for managing the deck crew and maintaining the vessel's safety and security.

The Master's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, managing cargo operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Master will also be responsible for conducting regular drills and training exercises to maintain the crew's proficiency in emergency procedures. Additionally, the Master will manage the vessel's maintenance and repair schedule to ensure optimal performance.

  • Must hold a valid Master's certificate of competency issued by a recognized maritime authority.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Master on an oil tanker vessel.
  • Must have completed all required STCW training courses, including tanker cargo operations and crisis management.
  • Must have a strong understanding of international maritime regulations, including SOLAS and MARPOL.
  • Must be able to pass a medical examination and obtain any required visas or travel documents.
