Role overview
The Messboy is a key member of the deck team on our Container Ship, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the galley and mess areas. This role is crucial to the health and wellbeing of the crew. The Messboy will work closely with the cook and other crew members to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
The day-to-day duties of the Messboy include cleaning and sanitizing the galley and mess areas, washing dishes and utensils, and assisting the cook with food preparation. The Messboy will also be responsible for managing waste and recycling, and maintaining the cleanliness of the crew's living quarters. Additionally, the Messboy will be required to perform other tasks as directed by the cook or other senior crew members.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid STCW certificate
- Must have previous experience working in a galley or hospitality environment
- Must be able to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
