Role overview

The Motorman/Oiler is a key member of the engine department on our Bulk carrier vessel, responsible for maintaining and operating engine room equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engines and associated systems. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.

The Motorman/Oiler will perform daily checks on engine room equipment, including pumps, generators, and purifiers. They will also be responsible for maintaining fuel and lubrication systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks. Additionally, the Motorman/Oiler will assist with repairs and overhauls of engine room equipment as needed.
