Role details We are seeking a highly capable Navigational Surveyor with a strong engineering and scientific background to join the team based in Oxford.
Requirements
- OKA degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline. 5–10 years of relevant maritime or navigational experience, ideally including operational shipboard or marine consultancy work.
- OKStrong understanding of marine operations, navigational systems, and data interpretation.
- OKExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- OKComfortable engaging with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- OKAbility to work from the Oxford office as required (typically 2–3 days per week, or full-time on occasion).
- OKProfessional membership of a relevant body (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers), ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
- OKFormer Royal Navy navigation or marine operations background.
- OKPrevious experience within a consultancy environment.
- OKFamiliarity with maritime simulation systems, marine risk assessment, or hydrodynamic modelling.
