Role details A specialist maritime recruiter is pleased to be partnering with one of the world’s most respected and long-established shipmanagement companies, a global leader in maritime services with roots in Hamburg and a network of home ports across the globe.
Requirements
- OKEducational Background: A degree in marine engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
- OKExperience: Substantial experience as a Chief or Second Engineer, ideally with previous involvement in shipyard newbuilding site teams.
- OKTechnical Knowledge: A strong understanding of ship design, specification review, and the latest advancements in shipbuilding technologies, with the ability to assess technical solutions for efficiency, durability, and regulatory compliance.
- OKBusiness Acumen: Basic understanding of business administration processes such as reporting, budgeting, and cost evaluation, combined with effective negotiation skills in an international shipbuilding environment.
- OKFlexibility & Communication: Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (German preferred), and the flexibility to travel globally as required by project needs.
