The Pumpman is a critical member of the deck team on a Product tanker, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cargo pumping systems. This role requires a strong understanding of cargo handling and pumping operations. The Pumpman will work closely with the Chief Officer to ensure all cargo operations are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
The day-to-day duties of the Pumpman include monitoring and maintaining cargo pumps, valves, and associated equipment, performing routine checks on cargo tanks and piping, and troubleshooting issues with cargo handling systems. The Pumpman will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of cargo tanks and associated areas. Additionally, the Pumpman will assist with cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a valid STCW certificate for Pumpman.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a Pumpman on a tanker vessel.
- OKMust have a strong understanding of cargo handling and pumping operations.
- OKMust be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- OKMust have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
