Role overview
The Ref Engineer is a key member of the deck department on our Reefer vessel, responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong understanding of refrigeration principles and equipment. The Ref Engineer will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The Ref Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system performance. The Ref Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and for ordering spare parts and supplies as needed. Additionally, the Ref Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- 2 years of experience as a Ref Engineer on a Reefer vessel
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
