Role overview
The Ref Engineer is a critical role on our Reefer vessel, responsible for maintaining refrigeration systems and ensuring cargo is kept at optimal temperatures. This role requires a strong understanding of refrigeration principles and equipment. The Ref Engineer will work closely with the deck team to ensure seamless operations.
The Ref Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance on refrigeration systems, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs as needed. They will also be responsible for monitoring temperature and humidity levels, as well as maintaining accurate records of system performance. Additionally, the Ref Engineer will assist with cargo operations, including loading and unloading.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as a Refrigeration Engineer certificate
- At least 2 years of experience working with refrigeration systems on a Reefer vessel
- Strong understanding of refrigeration principles and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
