Role overview
We are seeking a Trainee Engineer to join our team on a Container Ship. As a Trainee Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and operation of the ship's engines and machinery. You will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to gain practical experience.
Your day-to-day duties will include assisting with routine maintenance tasks, monitoring engine performance, and participating in drills and training exercises. You will also be expected to keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and participate in safety inspections. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the ship.
