Role details The recruitment team is pleased to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected ship management organisation with a strong reputation for operational excellence, technical expertise and long-term investment in its people and fleet.
Requirements
- OKMarine Engineering Qualification: Degree in Marine Engineering or a comparable technical qualification, with a strong understanding of vessel propulsion, machinery, electrical systems and associated onboard equipment.
- OKSea-Going Experience: Minimum 3 years’ sea service as a 2nd Engineer or higher, with previous experience in a technical shore-based position, shipyard or inspection environment considered advantageous.
- OKTechnical & Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, vessel inspections and international maritime regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL and the ISM Code, with experience preparing for and managing audits and Port State Controls.
- OKCommercial & Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage maintenance and repair budgets, control costs, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and provide effective technical leadership while remaining calm and decisive during operational challenges.
- OKCommunication & Mobility: Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear technical reports and documentation.
- OKA proactive, analytical mindset, willingness to embrace digitalisation and unrestricted willingness to travel are essential.
