The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Bulk carrier, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's main engines and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the main engines, pumps, and other equipment, as well as monitoring and analyzing performance data to optimize efficiency. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for supervising junior engineering staff and assisting with cargo operations as needed. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a valid STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a bulk carrier or similar vessel.
- OKMust have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
- OKMust be able to work effectively in a team environment and supervise junior staff.
- OKMust be proficient in English and able to communicate effectively with crew members and shore-based personnel.
