Role overview
The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a LPG - Ethylene Gas Carrier. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engines and associated equipment. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance tasks, monitoring engine performance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for managing a team of junior engineers and oilers, providing guidance and support as needed. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will be involved in cargo operations, including cargo pump maintenance and gas detection system monitoring.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- At least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a gas carrier.
- Knowledge of LPG - Ethylene Gas Carrier operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid medical certificate and passport.
