The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on an Oil/chemical tanker, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently. The 2nd Engineer will also assist the Chief Engineer in the overall management of the engine department.
The day-to-day duties of the 2nd Engineer include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the main engine, auxiliary engines, and other equipment. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the vessel's fuel and lubrication systems, as well as performing troubleshooting and repairs as needed. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will be required to keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a valid STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- OKMust have a strong knowledge of engine maintenance and repair procedures.
- OKMust be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- OKMust have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
