Daily duties include standing a 4‑hour navigation watch, conducting bridge equipment checks, and supervising cargo transfer operations. You will prepare passage plans, update the ship’s log, and assist in emergency drills. Coordination with the engine department for ballast and fuel management is also part of the routine.

Requirements

  • OKSTCW 95/96 certification with a valid 2nd Officer Unlimited CoC
  • OKMinimum 2 years sea service on crude oil tankers or similar bulk carriers
  • OKProficiency in ECDIS, AIS and GMDSS equipment
  • OKGood command of English, both written and spoken
  • OKAbility to work independently and as part of a watch team
