Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the bridge team on our Ro-Ro vessel, responsible for ensuring the safe navigation of the ship. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to plan and execute voyages. The 2nd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The day-to-day duties of the 2nd Officer include navigating the vessel, updating charts and publications, and conducting safety drills. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for monitoring the vessel's position and movements, as well as maintaining accurate records of the voyage. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in cargo planning and loading/unloading operations.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Have at least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a similar type of vessel
- Possess a valid medical certificate
- Have a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
- Hold a valid GMDSS certificate
