Role overview
We are seeking a skilled 3rd Engineer to join our team on a Bulk carrier. The 3rd Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the vessel's engine and mechanical systems. This position requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
As a 3rd Engineer, your day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engine and mechanical systems, monitoring fuel consumption and optimizing energy efficiency, and collaborating with other engineers to ensure seamless operation of the vessel. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during voyages. Additionally, you will participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain a high level of preparedness.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a 3rd Engineer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must hold a valid medical certificate
