Role overview
The 3rd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on our oil tanker vessel, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ship's machinery. This role involves working closely with other engineers and crew members to maintain the vessel's systems. The 3rd Engineer will also be involved in maintenance and repair tasks.
The day-to-day duties of the 3rd Engineer include monitoring and maintaining the vessel's engines, pumps, and other machinery, as well as performing routine checks and repairs. The 3rd Engineer will also be responsible for managing spare parts and supplies, and for ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations. Additionally, the 3rd Engineer will be required to keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

What we look for
- Holder of a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- At least 2 years of experience as a 3rd Engineer on a merchant vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Valid medical certificate and proof of completion of all required STCW training courses
