Role overview
We are seeking a 3rd Officer to join our team on a Container Ship. The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck crew and plays a crucial role in the safe navigation of the vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the ship.
As a 3rd Officer on a Container Ship, your day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, maintaining deck equipment, and supervising junior crew members. You will also be responsible for performing watchkeeping duties, monitoring the vessel's position and movements, and reporting any issues to the senior officers. Additionally, you will participate in cargo operations, including loading and unloading containers.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
