Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for ensuring the safe navigation and operation of the vessel. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The 3rd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, keeping watch, and performing routine maintenance tasks. They will also be responsible for updating navigation charts and publications, and for monitoring the vessel's safety equipment. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will be required to participate in drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.

What we look for
- Holder of a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- At least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a tanker vessel
- Good knowledge of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues
- Physical fitness to work at sea and pass a medical examination
